Anything Is Possible

Posted on August 29, 2023 By Linda Pham

Prior to her victory at the 2020 ASB Classic in Auckland, Serena Williams hadn’t won a tournament in three years. This day marked a special moment in her professional career; not only did she add another trophy to her staggering collection, but she did so for the first time as a mother.

At the time of this tournament, Australia was fighting a tragic bush fire – one that had displaced over a billion animals and people. Australia had become a special place for Serena as she had played in

matches there for over 20 years. In an effort to join the fight and spread awareness, Serena vowed to pay it forward and donate her prize money to the wildlife relief efforts.
