Following the successful completion of a summer internship, Laragh was offered a position on Kreston Reeves’ ACA training programme. She completed rotations in Audit and Corporate Finance before being asked to help develop the Business Services Division looking after clients across multiple business sectors with turnovers of up to £250m. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, she went on to work for two prominent law firms where she was tasked with helping to ensure the EMEA/APAC offices were profitable and compliant, whilst also influencing commercial policy, process and reporting within their global networks.
In her role of Financial Controller, she has responsibility for overseeing all the day to day operational finance activities, and works closely with the management team and client leads to influence and drive financial best practice and seek out value adding opportunities.
Laragh is best described as a keen rather than effective sportswoman. Where possible she tries to combine her love of travelling and playing sport; most recently trying her hand at sandboarding in Namibia, scuba diving in Fiji, and cycling and kayaking through Vietnam.
