We work with clients to help them understand & influence what their fans are doing – the way fans spend their money, the events that fans attend, the channels fans respond to, the content fans watch and more. And we use the understanding this gives us to help our clients grow. Grow their audiences and grow their revenues - both direct to consumer and business to business revenues.

Our platforms and services are trusted by over 900 clients globally, including the English Premier League, Red Bull, UEFA, VISA, the NFL, Nike and Amazon. We are almost 1000 people, based out of 14 offices, and we deliver work for sports and entertainment businesses of all shapes and sizes all over the world.

As part of our partnership agreement to deliver growth in ticketing and premium experiences (Hospitality) for the R&A, we will be building a dedicated sales team to focus on supercharging growth for The Open and the AIG Womens Open.

This is a full time role fully embedded in the R&A Premium Experience team and will be a key part in delivering success across multiple editions of The Open from 2026 and fuelling a new growth phase for the R&A.

Purpose of the role

  • To drive sales of premium hospitality experiences and exceed associated targets and KPIs across The R&A’s professional championships. In doing so, delivering world class sales and customer experience in order to help grow revenue and profit for reinvestment into the sport.
  • To engage with key stakeholders including customers, prospects, business groups and sport groups to help support the growth expectations of the business.
  • The Sales Executive will be responsible for:
  • Driving revenue and, as part of a team contributing with the implementation of the sales strategies.
  • Creative thinking, hardworking, high energy and an intelligent approach to selling premium products at some of the most sought-after events in the sporting calendar.

1)      Revenue delivery and target achievement

  • Deliver and exceed sales targets with a core focus on The Open & AIG Women’s Open
  • Develop effective contact strategies to ensure all customers, inbound enquiries and prospects are responded to regarding Premium Experience sales whilst maintaining a high level of closure rates
  • Develop effective sales initiatives designed to generate suitable leads with ‘’receptive’’ target clients with a focus on affluent golfers/golf fans

2)      A part of successful team and project achievement

  • Enhancing the R&A brand and reputation and developing strong external client relationships
  • Understanding the company, its suppliers, stakeholders, and related companies
  • Engage with customer and prospects whilst in attendance at The R&A professional championship in order to help increase sales conversions for future championships.

3)      Executing sales activities and recording of data with a consistently high standard

  • Proactive approach to achieving sales targets and objectives set by the Premium Sales Director & Premium Sales Manager
  • Accurate data input into the CRM system (MS Dynamics) which will be underpinned by rich customer data
  • Manage and maintain an effective sales pipeline specifically designed to achieve timely sales against targets and KPIs linked to the sales strategy
  • Review own performance across an agreed range of performance measures and KPI’s, seeking feedback where necessary and take remedial action where necessary to develop and improve performance.
  • Completes handover to Client Relations Executive having overseen contract fulfilment, payments and further additional sales and refunds.

  • Contribute fully to a market-leading team in premium, selling outstanding experiences to the major global events in golf, whilst providing outstanding service to our clients
  • Through our success and approach, create future opportunities that span other sports and major events

In the first six months, our focus will be on:

  • Successfully launching sales and implementing the sales plan for The 2026 Open
  • Making a strong start in relation to targets and sales achievement.
  • Enhancing the R&A brand reputation by developing strong relationships with clients
  • Understanding and contributing to the R&A partnership team and culture
  • Enhance understanding and contribute to the broader Two Circles business and sub teams
