Scope of Role
This role will focus on delivering custom Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions to clients, including but not limited to, data visualizations, insights, and automations utilizing fan data. The tools leveraged will include Tableau, SQL and Excel.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and delivering data-driven solutions. They should possess excellent teamwork skills, a consultative mindset, and a customer service-oriented approach, enabling them to effectively work with both internal teams and external partners.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role will require the candidate to be responsible for:
Understanding Business Needs and Providing Data-Driven Solutions
- Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and data requirements.
- Identify opportunities to apply analytics to optimize processes, improve performance, or drive growth.
- Develop and implement tailored analytics solutions that align with the client's goals.
Analyzing Data
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Monitor data quality and ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Assist in profiling fanbases using demographic, transactional, and behavioral data.
Communicating Insights and Recommendations
- Present complex analytics findings in a clear and concise manner, often using visualizations and storytelling.
- Deliver strategic recommendations to clients based on data analysis and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the practical implementation of analytics solutions.
Essential skills:
- A degree in Business, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Sports Management, or a similar field.
- 1 year of analytics or business intelligence experience, preferably in the sports and entertainment industry.
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Experience in tools like Tableau or Power BI for creating dashboards and visual reports.
- Programming and Scripting Languages: Familiarity with SQL, Python, R or similar languages.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align data analytics strategies with organizational goals and understand industry-specific challenges.
- Collaboration: Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Data Storytelling: Translating complex analytics into clear and compelling narratives.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and reliability in data analysis and reporting.
