We’re looking for a strategic-thinking and hands-on Acquisition Marketing Manager to drive the growth of membership programs and content streaming platforms for several high-profile clients within the sports industry. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sports, fan engagement, and Ecommerce—activating passionate fan bases globally through digital-first acquisition campaigns and optimized user journeys.
You’ll be responsible for strategizing and optimizing the end-to-end customer acquisition model across several clients for ongoing and tentpole campaign moments throughout the year — managing performance marketing channels, optimizing conversion paths across web and app, and partnering with cross-functional teams to scale membership sign-ups and long-term engagement.
You’ll serve as a central point of consulting, strategizing and advising an awesome team of marketing strategists and SMEs who service our many clients.
Key Responsibilities
Fan Acquisition Strategy & Execution
- Design scalable multi-channel acquisition campaigns to drive membership growth across digital channels: from paid social, search, display to referral partners, sponsor activations, and influencer programs.
- Leverage both the art (storytelling) and science (data) that underpin fans’ passion points and promotional opportunities (e.g., exclusive discounts, unique merchandise, experiences, and content) to create compelling offers and hooks that can be applied to a membership or streaming platform.
- Advise on budget optimizations, performance forecasting, and daily channel optimization to achieve maximum ROAS, and drive our target new member goals.
Full-Funnel Marketing & Conversion Optimization
- You’ll be a central advisor to several client teams on how to continuously test and optimize conversion funnels across website —from landing pages to checkout flows, using data and insights as the backbone to ensuring successful conversions.
- Partner with designers, product developers, paid media strategists and dev teams to build high-performing fan journeys and membership sign-up flows.
- Leverage best-in-class SEO practices to ensure from both a technical and editorial standpoint, that our fan membership programs are bringing in quality organic traffic, and thinking outside-the-box on how to best target new subsets of fans who may have not yet interacted before.
- Analyze fan behavior, identify drop-off points, and develop data-informed hypotheses to improve conversion and retention.
Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration
- Collaborate with creative, brand, and content teams to deliver assets tailored to fan personas, big moments, and seasonal spikes.
- Work closely with our client teams to develop integrated acquisition campaigns that remain authentic and fan-first.
- Sync with lifecycle marketing and CRM teams to ensure end-to-end journey continuity, from awareness to retention.
Requirements
Experience
- 3–5 years in D2C acquisition or performance marketing; ideally with experience in sports, entertainment, or fan-driven consumer brands.
- Demonstrated success growing a subscription, membership, or loyalty product through digital acquisition campaigns.
- Experience optimizing marketing touchpoints across web, mobile apps, and CRM.
- SEO and ASO knowledge and experience is a plus.
- Experience with Zendesk customer service platforms a plus.
Skills
- Deep understanding of digital media buying, fan segmentation, and behavioral targeting.
- Strong analytical thinker with experience building and interpreting dashboards and cohort performance.
- Excellent communicator and project manager—able to align internal teams in different locations globally, while remaining an autonomous self-starter.
Tools & Certifications
- Hands-on experience with:
- Paid media: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, YouTube, programmatic DSPs
- Web & funnel analytics: GA4
- Experimentation: Optimizely, Google Optimize, or similar A/B testing tools
- CRM tools: Braze, Dot Digital, Klaviyo
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Passion for sports and fan culture—you understand the emotional drivers behind fandom.
- Team Player and client-minded. Agency experience a plus.
- Knowledge of both the college and professional sports landscape.
- Performance-first mindset paired with creative instincts and a love understanding sports fandom.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-stakes environments that’s intrinsic to live sports and entertainment.
The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of Two Circles in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
