UK Sponsorship Award recognition for ECB and Saints

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Southampton were both recognised at last night’s 2017 UK Sponsorship Awards, the annual event that celebrates the strongest partnerships and innovations in the sponsorship industry.
The ECB, supported by Two Circles’ new and proprietary approach to valuing and packaging digital sponsorship rights, triumphed in the inaugural Rights Holder category. In addition, it was recognised with ‘highly commended’ in the Innovation in Sponsorship category, while our work with football club Southampton was acknowledged with a place on the shortlist for that category.

The ECB’s winning entry detailed how, in partnership with Two Circles, the governing body completely overhauled its approach to sponsorship by rebuilding its operations around digital, transforming its offering to partners, and providing fans with a much improved content experience. It was collected by ECB Digital Product Manager Fiona Staines (pictured above centre-right).

Gareth Balch, Two Circles CEO, said: “This work is a great example of how rights-holders can maximise their digital assets to provide greater value to their partners whilst giving fans what they want. We’re delighted that the team at the ECB has been recognised for its innovation in a rapidly-changing market.”

The UK Sponsorship Awards have been running for over 20 years and are the UK sponsorship industry’s most prestigious awards event.
