Two Circles Launches 2024 Diversity in Sports Programme

Posted on June 3, 2024 By Jason White

Two Circles officially welcomed the fifth cohort of the Diversity in Sports programme to its London office. The 2024 group of 24 talented individuals brings the alumni network to 100 members since its launch in 2020.

The programme aims to support and accelerate the growth of under-represented talent within the sports industry through bespoke mentoring and education.

Over the course of two immersive days, the new cohort delved into the intricacies of the sports industry ecosystem and Two Circles’ roles within it. The kick-off included an Insights Discovery session, providing a deeper understanding of their personal and professional strengths, along with sessions with esteemed industry leaders such as Preeti Shetty CEO of Upshot and Brentford FC Director and Alex Norman from Diversity in Business Sports (DIBS), who shared their insights and experiences in the industry.

The final day concluded with a first introduction to their new Two Circles mentors, who  will support them throughout their six-month journey.

Pranav Soneji, Director, Content at Two Circles, said: “Over the next six months, we aim to empower each participant with the knowledge, skills, and connections necessary to make a lasting impact in the sports industry. This programme is not only a step forward in their careers but also a significant stride towards a more inclusive and diverse sports community.

The cohort will reconvene in June, before a group task culminating in presenting at Media City in Salford in front of a panel of industry experts.

Previous alumni of the programme have forged successful careers at Two Circles, as well as other sports rightsholders, broadcasters and agencies in sport.
