Salesforce Analyst  

We are looking for a smart, curious and ambitious Salesforce Analyst to join our CRM Consulting practice. This is a role suited to someone who wants to build a career in Salesforce, CRM consulting, business analysis and technology delivery. 

You will work alongside consultants, business analysts, project managers and developers to support Salesforce implementations and improvements for our clients. You will help gather and document requirements, configure Salesforce features, support data migration, test solutions, assist with user training and help clients get value from their CRM systems. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, learning new technology and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Role:

The Salesforce Analyst will provide configuration, analysis and delivery support across Salesforce projects, with a focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and wider CRM use cases. 

The role will require the candidate to be responsible for:  

  • Support the implementation and enhancement of Salesforce solutions, including configuration, testing, data migration and documentation. 
  • Work with project managers, business analysts, consultants and developers to ensure solutions meet client requirements. 
  • Assist with requirements gathering, process mapping, workshop preparation and user acceptance testing. 
  •  Help translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and functional documentation. 
  • Support Salesforce configuration tasks such as fields, page layouts, record types, list views, reports, dashboards, validation rules and basic automation. 
  • Assist with data quality activities, including data cleansing, import preparation, migration checks and reconciliation. 
  • Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives where relevant. 
  • Carry out testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions work as expected and meet client needs. 
  • Help prepare training materials and support end-user training sessions. 
  • Provide first-line support for client questions, issue investigation and system troubleshooting, escalating more complex items to senior team members. 
  • Maintain functional and technical documentation related to Salesforce solutions. 
  • Continue building Salesforce knowledge through hands-on project work, Trailhead learning and relevant certifications. 

  

Requirements

  

 

Essential skills and experience: 

A Salesforce Analyst in this role should bring a blend of the following: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related STEM field. 
  • Prior internship, placement, project or work experience in business analysis, CRM, consulting, technology delivery, operations, customer support or data analysis. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Curiosity about CRM, technology, data and business process improvement. 
  • Core business analysis skills or interest, including requirements gathering, process mapping and documentation. 
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with data, configuration and testing. 
  • Good organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Confidence using Excel for basic data analysis, data cleaning or reporting tasks. 
  • Willingness to learn Salesforce configuration, CRM best practices and consulting delivery methods. 
  • Comfortable building strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.  
  • Ability to work at a pace while maintaining quality and accuracy. 
  • A self-starting attitude and enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial organization. 
  • Willingness to travel when required. 

 

Desirable skills and experience: 

These are helpful but not required 

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, especially Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, reports, dashboards or basic configuration. 
  • Salesforce Trailhead badges, Salesforce Associate certification, Salesforce Administrator / Platform Administrator certification, or working towards certification. 
  • Familiarity with SQL for basic data analysis, data validation, reconciliation or investigation tasks. 
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum ways of working. 
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria or test scripts. 
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio or similar tools. 
  • Awareness of data migration, data quality or CRM governance principles. 
  • Interest in sports, entertainment, fan engagement or the commercial side of the sports industry.
